Logging a Procedure
How to choose a job, search for a CPT or HCPCS code, set the date and quantity, and save an entry using the correct CMS values.
Finding a CPT code
Open Quick Log, choose the job you are logging for, and search by CPT or HCPCS code, keyword, or plain-English description. Results include work, practice expense, malpractice, and total RVUs for the selected CMS year.
Using your favorites for faster logging
If you've starred codes you use often, they appear as small pills right above the search bar. Just tap one to fill it in immediately — no searching needed. This is especially handy on busy days when you log the same handful of codes repeatedly.
Setting the date
Use the date of service field when logging. The app uses the CMS year assigned to that date and stores that pricing year with the entry, so historical values do not change when a new CMS release is added.
Adjusting quantity
If you performed the same procedure more than once, use the quantity buttons (the plus and minus icons) to set the right number. Each unit adds the full work RVUs for that code to your total.
Adding modifiers (optional)
Some procedures need CPT modifiers — like modifier 25 for a significant, separately identifiable E/M service, or modifier 51 for multiple procedures. Tap the modifier option to see a list of standard modifiers. Each modifier adjusts the RVU value accordingly. This is optional; if your procedure doesn't need a modifier, just skip it.
Saving your entry
Once everything looks right — the correct code, date, quantity, and any modifiers — tap "Log Entry" to save. You'll see a confirmation, and the entry immediately appears in your history. Your dashboard stats update in real time.
